ABOUT GRAND BANKING HALL
The gold leaf coffered ceiling features the colourful emblems of Canada’s nine early Confederation provinces (the bank was built before Newfoundland joined the Confederation). The historic space is further defined by stately Corinthian columns, Toronto’s only 100-foot long bar (artfully modelled after the original teller’s counter), plus towering, light-drenched cathedral windows overlooking the corner of Yonge and King streets.
